Member qualifications

ClubPal allows you to record qualifications against member profiles. You can view a member's qualifications on their member page in the Admin area, and assign them by editing their profile.

What qualifications are for

Qualifications are a way to capture any certifications, awards, or accreditations that a member holds. Examples include:

  • Coaching badges and levels (e.g. Level 1 Coach, Level 2 Coach)
  • First aid qualifications (e.g. First Aid, Emergency First Aid)
  • Lifeguard awards (e.g. NPLQ, Pool Lifeguard)
  • Safeguarding certificates (e.g. Safeguarding Children)
  • Any other sport-specific or club-specific credentials

Qualifications help committee members and administrators keep an accurate record of what their members are qualified to do. They can also be used by the Required Qualifications eligibility rule on sessions.

Managing qualifications

To assign a qualification to a member, navigate to their profile and go to the Edit Profile page.

On this page you will see a Qualifications field. When you select the field, a list of previously used qualifications will appear, or you can type a new one. Select or type as many qualifications as needed and save the profile.

Assigned qualifications are then visible on the member's profile page in the Admin area.

Using qualifications in session eligibility

Once you have recorded qualifications on member profiles, you can use them to restrict session booking.

  1. Open the session you want to restrict in Admin > Sessions.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Scroll to Eligibility Rules.
  4. Add a Required Qualifications rule.
  5. Select one or more qualifications.
  6. Save the session.

Members must hold at least one of the selected qualifications to book that session.
