ClubPal v3.0.573.2145
Latest release of ClubPal, adding the new eligibility rules engine for membership packages plus a set of admin, email, and payment improvements.
New features
Eligibility rules for membership packages
You can now use Eligibility Rules on membership packages to control who can buy them.
This first release of the eligibility rules engine supports:
- Age-based rules, such as junior or masters packages.
- Gender-based rules.
- Custom Profile Field Value rules, so you can restrict packages using data such as club, squad, county, or claim category.
- Rule groups with Match all (AND) or Match any (OR) logic.
On the public membership page, eligible packages now show an Eligibility requirements summary so members can understand the restriction before they start checkout.
If a member does not meet the configured requirements, ClubPal blocks purchase of that package.
For full setup guidance, see the Eligibility rules documentation.
Service updates on the admin dashboard
A new Service Updates section now appears at the top of the club admin dashboard. This shows the latest platform announcements, feature highlights, and any service notices from the ClubPal team.
Each update displays the date, title, and a short excerpt. Clicking an update opens the full content in a modal. Updates can be dismissed once read, and a dedicated Notifications page, accessible from the bell icon in the admin navigation, lets admins revisit previously dismissed updates at any time.
Unread updates are indicated by a badge on the notifications bell so admins always know when something new has been posted.
Filter cancelled sessions
The admin sessions list now includes a Cancelled filter option, making it easy to find and review sessions that have been cancelled. Previously, cancelled sessions were hidden from all list views.
Improvements
Clearer payment decline messages
When a card payment is declined, members now see the specific reason provided by the payment processor, for example "Card declined", "Your card's security code is incorrect", or "Your card has expired", rather than a generic error. This makes it easier for members to understand what went wrong and take action without needing to contact the club.
Richer session email notifications
Session-related emails have been substantially improved to include more useful information at a glance.
Booking confirmations now include the session date, time, and location alongside a direct View Booking link so members can access their booking without navigating through the portal.
Booking cancellation emails now display the full session details and include a link back to the session page, making it straightforward to rebook if the cancellation was a mistake.
Session cancellation notifications directed at booked members now include the full session details and any message from the organiser, giving members a clearer picture of why the session was cancelled.
Waiting list confirmation emails now include a direct link to the session page so members can keep an eye on availability.
New session notification emails, sent when a session is added, now include full details: date, time, location, cost, available spaces, and a description where provided. This gives members everything they need to decide whether to book.
Session updated emails now summarise exactly what changed, such as a location update, so members know what to take note of without needing to log in to find out.
Subject lines across session emails have been updated to be more descriptive and easier to scan in a busy inbox.
Password changed confirmation email
Members now receive a Password Changed confirmation email whenever their password is updated, whether via the account settings page or through a password reset. The email prompts the member to contact support if they did not request the change, providing an additional layer of account security.
Membership email improvements
Membership emails now address members by their name rather than their email address, making notifications feel more personal.
Membership welcome and membership renewed emails now include a Manage Membership button so members can jump straight to their membership page.
The subject line for group membership invitations has been updated to include the club name and package context, making it clearer what the invitation is for.
