Categories

Categories allow you to tag sessions with descriptive labels, making it easier for members to find sessions of a particular type and enabling administrators to filter and report on sessions by category.

Adding categories to a session

You can add one or more categories to a session from the Categories field when creating or editing a session. Categories are free-text labels — type a value and press Enter to add it. A session can have as many categories as needed.

How categories appear to members

On the session details page, categories are shown as clickable tags. When a member clicks a category tag, they are taken to a filtered list of all sessions with that label, making it easy to browse sessions of the same type (for example, all "Intervals" or "Beginner" sessions).

Managing categories

All categories used across your sessions can be viewed at Admin > Sessions > Categories. From this page you can select any category to see a filtered list of every session tagged with it, along with the performance statistics for that category.

Reporting

Categories feed into the Sessions Dashboard. The Category Performance panel shows total sessions, total attendance, and total revenue filtered by the currently selected category. This makes it easy to compare the performance of different session types over any date range.
