Editing sessions

There are two ways to access the edit form for a session.

From the session details page

Navigate to the session details page and click the ellipsis (⋯) menu in the session header, then select Edit session. This is the quickest way to edit a session you are already viewing.

From the admin area

Go to Admin > Sessions, find the session in the list, and select Edit from its action menu. This gives you access to all sessions without navigating to the front end first.

Recurring sessions

When editing a recurring session you will be asked whether you want to edit:

  • Edit this occurrence - applies changes to this specific date only
  • Edit all occurrences - applies changes to every future instance in the series

Use Edit this occurrence when something is different for just one date, such as a change of location or a different session leader. Use Edit all occurrences to update the entire series going forward.

Fields locked when editing an occurrence

When you choose to edit a single occurrence, some settings are locked and cannot be changed. These apply to the series as a whole and can only be updated via Edit all occurrences:

  • Session name
  • Recurring schedule (frequency, interval, end date)
  • Members only and Show bookings toggles
  • Required membership packages
  • Required member groups
  • Allowed payment methods and allowed passes
  • Custom booking form fields
  • Booking confirmation message

The following fields can be changed on a single occurrence:

  • Description, location, cost, session leader(s), categories, colour
  • Start/end time
  • Booking window, cancellation window, refund window
  • Coaches required
  • Participant information (shown to confirmed attendees)
